This week we are delighted to announce that Recipe Guru founder and CEO Niamh Sterling has been named a finalist in the Innovator category of the 2018 Barclaycard everywoman In Retail Awards.
Retail is undoubtedly going through a period of change. Between the so-called 'retail apocalypse' and Amazon's acquisition of Whole Foods, innovation is key to survival. It is clear that the retail industry has stepped up the plate in this regard, and we are thrilled that Niamh has been recognised for her determination to enhance the grocery industry through innovation.
"I am honoured and thrilled to be a finalist in the Barclaycard everywoman in Retail Awards Innovator Category and included amongst such pioneering and accomplished women."
Niamh Sterling, CEO
Led by Niamh, Recipe Guru is leveraging the power of celebrity chef and influencer recipes to increase basket values by an average of 3.2%, and during our UK trial, we noted a 43% increase in click-throughs when our celebrity chefs shared our content. In addition, our white-label recipe content provides grocery retailers with easy access to cost-effective recipes at scale to suit any campaign. Our RecipeGenie Insights™ platform, a location and social data analytics tool and dashboard will be launched in 2019. This will give our customers access to deep ‘ahead of the curve’ analytical insights into customer behaviours and emerging food trends, informing marketing and distribution decisions, reducing food spoilage, and reducing costs.
The awards, judged by 14 of most successful women in business, will take place in London on 13 September. We'd like to congratulate Niamh on this well-deserved honour and we wish her the very best of luck.
